Bishazari Tal is one of the Ramsar sites of Nepal. It is the oxbow lake system laying in the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park.

Due to easy accessibility followed by an ample amount of flora and fauna This Lake received a significant amount of Tourist Traffic.

The lake lies in between the Siwalik range and the Mahabharata range of Nepal.

Formation

The meandering of the river in the low elevation area created this lake. It is the type of Oxbow lake.

It lies in the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park. Chitwan National Park is among the famous national park of Nepal as it hosts the population of one-horned rhinoceros.

Due to the location in the low lying area of the Chitwan National Park. It holds the significant population of the endangered species like the Bengal tiger, One-horned rhinoceros, Mugger, Otter, Vulture, Eagle, and others.

How to Access

Chitwan National Park is merely 97 kilometers away from the Kathmandu valley. Regular buses, as well as flight, are available from Kathmandu to Chitwan.

It takes merely twenty minutes to travel by air and six hours of bus drive from Kathmandu Nepal.

Visit Kathmandu is mandatory for almost all the tourist as the sole international airport of Nepal is located in the Kathmandu valley.

Ideal Season To Travel

Being located in the low elevation area it can be travel throughout the year. Traveling during monsoon season can be problematic due to incessant rain and dazzling heat. Due to this, it is advised to take precaution while traveling in the Monsoon Season.

You should check out instagram @onceuponatimeonanisland for travel spots that are different from usual blogs. Many secluded areas in sri lanka are unknown to the foriegn travel lover.
